Mr. SUNIL KRISHNARAO DESAI, aged 59 years old, Indian Inhabitant, founded K.T. Desai Educational Trust in 2003. The objectives of this trust was to impart education to economically weaker sections of the Society, to start Nursing College, to give shelter for old persons and destitute, and to start orphanages for all age groups.
With these objectives in mind Krishnarao old Age Home was founded in Jan 2012 and was named as KRISHNARAO VRUDHASHRAM.

rishnarao Vrudhashram is one of the known old age home in Thane, We provide Aged and Bedridden Patient Old Home Thane. Old Age Homes patients has issue with old age stroke that force old age to become Bedridden patient. Such people require home-based health care services for speedy and good recovery.
Krishnarao Vrudhashram is a non-government association that gives Shelter for Needy Women Thane to helpless ladies who are destitute or have fled because of aggressive behaviour at home. They are housed in shelter home.
Krishnarao Vrudhashram provides a home for Orphan kids Thane is dedicated to helpless children, irrespective of their religion or caste- who are susceptible to the vulnerable conditions of living on the street.
For normal old persons Rs.8000/- per month and deposit Rs.15000/
For bedridden persons and patients Rs.12000/ - per month and deposit Rs.20000/.
The deposit is refundable in both the categories. We also provide life time services to any person, if the person makes one time payment of Rs.700000/- (Rupees Seven Lakh Only) We provide unlimited breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea, snacks, milk to our inmates and a decent facility to stay. Each flat is shared by three to four persons. There is a separate ward for ladies and gents. Normal old persons and bedridden patients are kept separately. Each flat has European style and Indian-style washroom facility.
We also offer free old age home facility to extremely poor people, farmers having suicidal tendency and to people who have no relatives to support them.
